New Folks!

So, lots of new folks on Friends-list in the last couple of days...

Who are you?

How did you find me?

What topics are you interested in reading about here?

For those of you more interested in the Flames Rising website we've got an LJ feed set up -here- (you know you want to read it).

We also have a MySpace Page and a Facebook Group.

[info]he_who_hunts: I am the Eggman.

Who are you?

I'm a ridiculously huge fan of horror roleplaying. My first contact with your site was for Dread: The First Book of Pandemonium. Great ideas in that book.

I also have a passion for studying and research and will soon be going to Maine to study for my Master's Degree in Western Esotericism. From there, it's a doctorate in Theology and getting work started on creating a program in which the studies of the occult and esoteric practices and societies is centrally focused upon.

In short: I'm a huge, nerdy geek. Luckily that's one of the reasons my wife married me.

How did you find me?

That RPG.net forum thread on Livejournals. Beware the onslaught of the funky strangers Tangency will spew forth.

What topics are you interested in reading about here?

Horror! Also, as I love reading accounts of personal brushes with the occult and supernatural, it'd be neat to see that as well. Then again, I'd like to see that on pretty much every website. Heh.

[info]flamesrising: Re: I am the Eggman.

Glad somebody liked my Dread review...

Good luck with the new school.

Lots of Horror on the way via Flames Rising, so stay tuned.

Btw, we are looking for more Non-Fiction Reviews if you are interested. Ghosts, Occult, Unexplained Phenomena and related topics.

I'm Jon, I'm a fantasy illustrator.

I'm always seeing you pop up in my friends lists, so I thought it was about time to add you directly!

I'm already happy with the content!

Well, lots more rambling about Horror & Dark Fantasy is on the way...

I'm Andy, and I found you through Tehana, my girlfriend. I enjoy seeing your articles and reviews, mostly; while I've watched you I've seen rare updates on your life, but that's fine.

Just keep going on with your bad self and everything will be great :)

Great!

You two going to be at GenCon this year?

[info]arist_one_eye

We will indeed! Looking very forward to it, actually :)

Me, I'm here for the reviews and articles, and occasional exchanges of ideas with people. Found you via RPGnet.

Sounds good. Did you check out the Flames Rising LJ feed (linked above)?

That will give you direct access to the Reviews and other site updates.

Well, I'm John. :)

I found you through Gregor (Boxninja here on LJ), and we have a few interests in common. Been reading the LJ for about two weeks now, but first became familiar with you through the Flames Rising stuff and some a|state connections.

Looking forward to discussing all manner of rpg and horror stuff, as well as hearing your thoughts on a variety of other subjects and interests, too. :)

Hey John!

Welcome to the fire.

Play any a|state recently?

[info]jkahane

Thanks for the welcome, Matt. :)

The fire, huh? So, just how hot is it? :)

Haven't played any a|state in the past six months or so. Been devoting my time to gaming a bit with the Ubiquity system from the folks at Exile Games, and the wonderful Hollow Earth Expedition rpg and the soon-to-be released Desolation rpg from the folks at Greymalkin Designs. Plan to get back to a|state in the next few months, and will be relaunching my set of webpages devoted to the game. I was hoping someone might be running some a|state at GenCon Indy this year, but such does not seem to be the case. :(

I've got plans to run a|state during the coming year at a convention or two, and want to get back to The City and all its urban madness. :)

Found your LJ name courtesy of our friendly local RPG.net. Since I've always enjoyed your posts, I thought I'd friend you so I didn't miss out on your LJ ones as well.
I've got a lot of time to kill these days, so a good journal is a hard thing to pass on!

You can, of course, friend me back if you want but please don't feel obligated. The fun, gaming stuff is mostly Open anyhow. Slightly more personal things are Friend-Only, and unless you want to read them there's no real need. ^_^

I came from the rpg.net thread although I knew who you were prior. I usually look for two posts that I like in the previous 40. The one about the Rolling Stone reporter infiltrating the promise keeper's meeting was good--and the one about Hillary blasting online fund-raising was good--so I signed up :)

I want to read more stuff like that.
